2019 was a rough year for me, so I'm welcoming 2020 with open arms!
I started suffering from seizures in 2019 and my doctors have yet to figure out what is causing them. One of these seizures even cost me a role in what would have been my second Hollywood movie, but I had to put my health first.
Several of my projects were also stalled in 2019 and I was reminded why others had failed in the past. The truth is, you can't rely on other people all the time. I had more actors quit my YouTube movies than ever, six different illustrators for my kids' books started working and never finished and had more people than I can count commit to other projects and not follow through.
There were also a few positives of 2019: I released my first book in the Guardians of Oz series, my film Theta premiered, our digital comic series Scream: Duality was released, I worked on a very special documentary series with my friend Scott Plante called Healing Through Music, and I wrote, directed and starred in my own short film Christmas Wish. I also began work on my TV series I Love Lou C and two more novels and short films that I pray will see the light of day soon.
My new year's resolution this year is to only embark on projects I can complete on my own and to take more time for me and my health. I will continue to write books and movie scripts, continue to model and act and continue to pursue my dreams, remembering that I am my greatest motivator.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!
